About me
I am a HCPC registered Paramedic and level 3 Student of Wilderness Therapy, living in the beautiful county of Devon, surrounded by rugged coastlines and wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park.
After years of working on front-line ambulances or in a General Practice Surgery, I have always been able to offer empathy and compassion in stressful situations. These days I am able to offer that still but in a different way. I found an academic course that combined my hobbies and interests with my professional life.
Real growth is when you start checking and correcting yourself, instead of blaming others. You take your power back, by being responsible for your life.
Wilderness Therapy offers activities which encourage a little introspection to facilitate a better self understanding, self appreciation and value. It can help clarify the sometimes tangled and struggling brain and thought process, helping improve mental health and resilience. The activities themselves might do that on their own, but with the added benefit of being in a natural environment. Studies clearly show that just being in nature is beneficial to well-being
